Terms of Service

SportCoach (sportcoach.ro) is an adaptive running-coach application operated from Romania. These terms govern your use of the SportCoach mobile application and website. By creating an account you agree to them. Our handling of your personal and health data is described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

SportCoach provides training guidance computed from your recovery and training data. It is educational and informational — it is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a medical device. Always use your own judgment: if something hurts rather than aches, if you have a heart condition, or if you experience persistent unexplained symptoms, stop training and consult a medical professional. Never disregard professional medical advice because of something SportCoach showed you.

SportCoach is currently in beta and free to use. Beta software changes quickly: features may be added, modified, or removed, and occasional errors or downtime are expected. We may onboard users in waves and may suspend accounts that abuse the service. Feedback you submit through the app may be used to improve the product.

At public launch, parts of SportCoach will require a paid subscription purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Prices are shown before you buy; billing, renewal, and cancellation are handled by the respective store under their terms. Beta users will be offered founding-member pricing before any charge applies — nothing is billed during the beta.

Your training and health data remain yours. You can export or delete them at any time in the app (Settings → Privacy & data), as described in the Privacy Policy. Deleting your account removes your data as described there.

The SportCoach software, design, training methodology, and content are our intellectual property. We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use the app for your own training. You may not copy, resell, or build competing services from it.

SportCoach is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. Running is a physical activity that carries inherent risk of injury; you train at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (zero during the free beta). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including under mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence.

You can stop using SportCoach and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practicable. Sections that by their nature survive (data rights, liability, governing law) survive termination.

We will post changes here and, for material changes, notify you in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use SportCoach after changes take effect means you accept them.

These terms are governed by the laws of Romania; EU consumers keep the protections of their home country's mandatory rules. Questions: contact@sportcoach.ro.
